Updates, musings, and muddling….

I’ve been busy! Making, making, making. Organizing, sorting, cleaning. (In my studio. It’s much more fun than cleaning my house!)

I’ve also added new stuff to my Etsy shop and my website.

I find it just as important to write about my art as to make it. I am fascinated by stories. You can tell when people are speaking their truth--their eyes light up, their voices become strong, their entire body posture becomes powerful and upright. I love it when people get to this place in their work, their relationships, their art. As I work from this powerful place in MY heart, I share this process with others--so they have a strong place to stand, too. Because the world needs our beautiful art. All of it we can make, as fast as we can! Whether it's a bowl, a painting, a song, a garden, a story, if it makes our world a better place, we need to do everything in our power to get it out there.

  1. Well, I’d like to see the Lascaux bird-headed-human in ivory. He/she did’t paint himself/herself, but someone did. And you already make shamans! Come on, don’t tease us like that! Quartz for the necklace….

  2. I appreciate reading your posts. You write in such a way that it sounds like you’re talking to me; love your use of voice. I have read your articles since the early days of the Craft Report and am glad that you still write often about the art of art.

    1. Wow, Toni, so good to hear that! You nailed it, too. I write to work my way to a happy/better place, especially when I’m feeling annoyed, sad, angry. So you ARE hearing to talk–first to myself, and then to you, if it applies. Honored and delighted you see that! Thank you!!!!
