JUST TOO LAZY TODAY

You know what? I’m just too lazy to write today. So when this amazing post on how to tell if you’re doing your life work fell into my inbox today, I just had to share it with you. (I’ve already bookmarked Everyday Bright for future reads.)

And yesterday I was telling a friend about Eddie Izzard, and she’d never heard of him. So your chuckle for today is this clip of Eddie explaining world history for you in a totally new way.

See? Even on days when I feel like doing absolutely nothing important, I’m still thinking about you! :^)

I find it just as important to write about my art as to make it. I am fascinated by stories. You can tell when people are speaking their truth--their eyes light up, their voices become strong, their entire body posture becomes powerful and upright. I love it when people get to this place in their work, their relationships, their art. As I work from this powerful place in MY heart, I share this process with others--so they have a strong place to stand, too. Because the world needs our beautiful art. All of it we can make, as fast as we can! Whether it's a bowl, a painting, a song, a garden, a story, if it makes our world a better place, we need to do everything in our power to get it out there.

  1. I’ve been a long time admirer of you and your blog and have had a copy of your post “On Getting Started” taped to the wall in my office for a very long time. I am FINALLY getting my act together! Thank you so much for all your wonderful writings and I can’t wait to check out the links you’ve provided on this post. Its easy to be lazy sometimes and procrastinate, but its good to know that sometimes that’s okay!

  2. I stumbled upon you on The Switchboards forum and clicked on your blog. You have no idea how I needed to read the article you posted!! I’m in a job I hate while working has hard as I can in my spare time on my jewelry business. For the last 2 years I’ve been threatening to give the day job up and work full-time on my jewelry – I REALLY needed to read this today. Thank you! So funny too – my husband and I watched the whole live show of Eddie Izzard on Sunday evening. He’s so funny! Thanks again for this uplifting article.
