The friend who gave me the go-ahead to ignore the world for a few hours and make my art, also said a messy studio is not necessarily a bad thing.
The artist self in my is child-like, and revels in the mess. “I don’t have to follow the rules!” the child-artist chortles.

About me…
Where am I today? I'm selling my work at the Walpole Town Hall in Walpole NH, as part of the Orchard School's Annual Craft Fair. Great food, great music, and may I say, simply fabulous little treasures from yours truly. (blush) Preview Friday night, December 11 6:30-8:30 p.m., fair opens to the public Saturday December 12, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Even better--Burdick's Chocolate is just a block or two away! (And they always sponsor a wonderful silent auction item at the fair...) As always, please help spread the word! I'll be forever grateful.

I make wall hangings, sculptures and jewelry inspired by prehistoric, tribal and world art. I tell stories with my art, stories to honor and encourage others who are making their own place in the world.
I believe using our creativity makes the world a better place for everyone. I believe everyone can participate in that process. I contribute as an artist and a writer. And maybe other ways I don't know about yet.
I write about how being a late-bloomer, a mother (teens! When did THAT happen??), a martial artist, a rider, a climber and a writer, have all made me a better artist. And vice versa.
I wrote a book CARVING RUBBER STAMPS and I wrote a regular column for CraftsBusiness Magazine (til it went out of business, and no, that wasn't my fault.) Now I write a regular column Craft Matters for The Crafts Report magazine.
